So what does Excel Password Recovery Master do if it doesn’t recover Excel passwords? What it does is it cracks the password that protects a document created with just about any version of Excel. By using Excel Password Recovery Master you can crack "open", "write", workbook, shared workbook and worksheet passwords.

The search for a decryption key to crack the password that protects an Excel document is not done by the user’s computer; it is done on Rixler Software’s servers. The decryption itself is done on the user’s computer though. It is a process that should not take long.

- Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, and Windows 7
- Microsoft Excel 97, 2000, XP, 2003, 2007, and 2010.
Limitations – the trial version only partially decrypts the Excel document.
